Frequently Asked Questions
1.How do I contact you?
2. How long does it take to train my dog?
In reality training never stops. You train your dog from the day it comes into your home until the day it passes away after living a very full life. Training is really more about training you the human and how you much/often you will do the homework and continue your training once your training program with us is finished. How much effort are you willing to put in?
3. What is the most important thing when choosing a dog trainer?
We are not the right fit for everyone and that's ok. When choosing a trainer its important that you connect with them personally but also with their training style as well.
4. What is your dog training philosophy?
We are very open minded when it comes to training philosophy. We have experience in both the force free and balanced training styles. we want to go with what is at you and your dogs comfort level. We will never force you yo use any training tools you are not comfortable using.
5.Is the consultation/Pre-training Assessment really required and why do you charge?
Yes the consultation and the information form is required before all training sessions, and phone or video calls. It helps us better prepare for your sessions and is also part of our legal and insurance protocols as well. We do charge for the consultations because answering questions, preparing for sessions, and scheduling takes time and resources. There are no refunds once the consultation is booked.

We currently do not but do ask that if you have to reschedule or cancel a lesson that you contact us as soon as possible. we understand that life happens sometimes.
9. Why does training that has to do with aggression, fear and reactivity cost more?
Training that has to with aggression, fear , reactivity and at times separation anxiety are considered more complex training cases. These require more planning, time and risk.
10. How long are each of my sessions?
Most sessions are around 60-90 minutes long with lots of time for breaks for learning dog & human.
11. Why dog you say you are training owners and not just the dogs?
12. Will you receive homework after each session?
Yes, we will give you a few items to work on in between sessions. we can provide a physical note sheet upon request but otherwise it is on the owner to take notes on what they should be working on when homework is verbalized at the end of each session.
13. Do you ever "fire" clients?
Yes, we will fire a client if they aren't doing the work or if personalities don't get along. We may end the Trainer/client relationship for the dog's benefit. We are very open about our expectations. Please read other parts of our website or hop over to our social media or youtube before signing up with us.
14. What do you mean that you train humans, not the dogs?
We train humans not dogs because at the end of the day your dog needs to listen to you not us. We are like the fun Aunt that visits and does fun things with the dog but you are the human that your dog sees day in and day out. We are there to clear up communication between you two (or more).
